Get a jump on SAT prep or increase your previous scores over the summer! SAT has added a new date which is ideal for seniors looking to increase previous scores or juniors looking to get the test taken before spring!
Topics to be covered:
1) Overview of the structure of SAT.
2) Score goals—how many questions do you need to get right to reach your goal?
3) Timing Game Plan for each content area
4) Subskill content (Reading Comprehension, Writing and Math)
5) Test Taking / Study Skills Strategies
Knowing the structure, timing and content of the SAT helps reduce test anxiety and allows you to focus on what is important—the questions!
All college bound students: higher composite scores increase the number of colleges into which you can gain admission . Also, the higher your score, the more academic scholarships you may receive.
The skills learned in the course are important for high school and college success!

Enrichment Classes
One Day Kumihimo Braid
Dates: Tues, July 11 or Tues, July 18 or Tues, July 25
Time: 10:00-11:30 am
Ages: All ages
Fee: $15 (includes disk loom and yarn)
Minimum class size: 5 students
Maximum class size: 10 students
Learn how to make a basic 8 strand kumihimo braid (Japanese multi-strand braid) using a disk loom. We will explore basic technique with a little emphasis on pattern and color, and design.
We will also discuss how to add closures to your bracelets / designs so they stay on your wrist!
You will walk out with a finished bracelet on your wrist!
Texas Hold'Em & Omaha - Adult Only
Adults Only: Mon July 10; July 17; July 24; July 31
Time: 6:00-8:00 pm
Fee: $75
Minimum class size: 4 students
Maximum class size: 12 students
Learn the ins and outs of Texas Hold'Em and Omaha from a 20 year casino veteran. This is a chance to ask all the questions you ever had about the game without being in a high pressure situation or losing money, as bets will be made with chips only.
Texas Hold'Em - Family Class
Dates: Tues, July 11; July 18; July 25; Aug 1
Time: 6:00-8:00 pm
Ages: For family groups
Fee: $75 per 1 parent, 1 child group (ask about cost for additional family members)

This class is for families to learn a new (new??) game for Family Game Night! Now everyone will know the basics rules and you can focus on having fun!

Where Origami and Geometry Meet

Do you like folding paper into three dimensional creations? This class is designed for the creative and the mathematical at heart. Art meets geometry! Explore geometrical shapes and three dimensional solids through the centuries old tradition of origami. You will be provided with an origami book and special paper to take home so you can keep on folding! Join us for some paper folding fun!

Practice your reading skills this summer with Miss Chris and Skippyjon Jones…the Siamese kitten with an imagination so powerful he becomes “Skippito Friskito”…the Mexican chihuahua, sword fighting superhero who takes on “El Blimpo Bumblebeeto Bandito”!! Will Skippito be able to save los frigoles from Alfredo Buzzito for his amigos, Los Chimichangos? Ay Carumba! What are los frigoles anyway? Read with Miss Chris and find out.
Skippyjon will help with reading objectives (sight words, comprehension, and un poco espanol) as well as hands-on enrichment activities!
